Takeifa steht für eine neue Generation afrikanischer Musik. Jac Keita - der Bandleader der aus fünf Geschwistern bestehenden Band Takeifa - entdeckte bereits mit elf Jahren sein musikalisches Talent.

Er versuchte sich zunächst in einer Solo-Musikkarriere, bevor er mit seinem Bruder Cheikh Musik machte und dann mit seinen drei weiteren Geschwistern die Band Takeifa gründete.
Takeifa hat mittlerweile zwei Alben herausgebracht. Mit ihrem aktuellen Album "Get Free" tourten sie im Sommer 2015 durch Europa. 2016 dürfen wir uns - Inshallah - auf ihr drittes Album freuen.

After a solo career, he performed with his brother Cheikh before he founded the band Takeifa with his other three siblings.
By now, Takeifa has released two albums. In summer 2015, they toured around Europe with their freshest album „Get Free“. We are looking forward for the release of their third album in 2016 - Inshallah.

Takeifa incarne la musique de la nouvelle génération africaine. Leader de l´orchestre Takeifa qui regroupe cinq frères et sœurs, Jac Keita a découvert son talent musical à onze ans.

Il s´est d´abord consacré à une carrière musicale en solo avant de performer avec son frère Cheikh et enfin de fonder avec ses trois autres frères et sœurs l´orchestre Takeifa. Ayant déjà publié deux albums, Takeifa fait le tour d´Europe cet été 2015, avec son actuel album „Get Free“. C´est avec impatience que leur troisième album - Inshallah - de 2016 est attendu.
