Zum fünfjährigen Jubiläum des Rise & Shine Festivals war baobab-tv vor Ort in Falkenstein/Niederösterreich. Das Festival fand von 30. Juli bis 1. August 2015 statt und sucht in Europa seinesgleichen.

Neben einem einzigartigen Soundsystem und einen Schwerpunkt auf Dub und die Rastakultur zeichnet sich das Rise & Shine vor allem durch ökologische Nachhaltigkeit aus. Für alle Aufbauten werden heimische Produkte verwendet; auf dem Festival findet man nichts aus Plastik und die Lebensmittel stammen zum Großteil aus der Region. Über die Entstehung des Festivals und vieles mehr spricht Organisator Niko, aber auch Größen der Dubszene wie Mad Professor und Sister Aisha kommen zu Wort.

For the fifth edition of the Rise & Shine Festival in Falkenstein/Lower Austria, baobab-tv visited the event. It took place from 30th of July till 1st of August 2015 and is without equal in Europe.

Besides a unique sound system and a focus on dub and the Rastafarian culture, the organizers set a high value on ecological sustainability. For all constructional systems, domestic products are used. Moreover, no materials made out of plastic will be found on the ground of the festival. Most of the foods stem from the region. One of the organizers, Niko, talks about the genesis of the festival. Also, baobab-tv talked to masters of the dub scene like Mad Professor and Sister Aisha.

À l’occasion du 5ème. Le festival hors paire n’ayant pas son égal en europe, a eu lieu du 30 juillet au 1er août.

Au côté d’un Soundsystem de dingue, l’accent est mit sur le Dub et la culture Rasta. Rise & Shine se distingue également par son empreinte écologique et son effort pour préserver l’environnement. Pour toutes les constructions et la nourriture seuls des produits locaux ont été utilisés, le plastique est prohibé. Concernant la naissance du festival et d’autres sujets, l’organisateur Niko nous dira un mot, tout comme des légendes de la scène Dub tel que Mad Professor et Sister Aisha.
